London’s Top Rental Hotspots

According to the Rightmove’s Rental Trends Tracker, and perhaps unsurprisingly, the five most in-demand areas in the capital are also some of the cheapest.

Erith, in the south-east borough of Bexley, is top of the list with an average asking rent for a two bed of £1,045 pcm. Located in Zone 6, you can be in London Bridge within 40 minutes.

Carlshalton, in the south London borough of Sutton, is at second place with an average rental price of £1,257 pcm. Rail travel may be a pain for commuters, but Sutton was recently voted one of the top 5 happiest places to live in London.

Belevedere is third on the list. Just one train stop up from Erith.

Snaresbrook, located on the edges of Epping Forest, is in fourth place and has an average asking rent of £1,351 pcm. With a pretty high street and its Zone 4 Central Line tube station getting you to Oxford Circus within 30 minutes, Snaresbrook offers the best of both worlds.

Dagenham is located in London’s most affordable borough and is the fifth most popular rental hotspot. Direct links from Dagenham Dock to Fenchurch Street takes just 21 minutes; perfect for City workers.
