The uninterrupted views to the Law are great, especially if the Exmoor ponies on the Law show themselves! North Berwick High school and Law Primary School are an easy walk from the flat as are three supermarkets. There is also a bus stop outside the flat- the buses go all the way to the centre of Edinburgh. North Berwick is a great place to live in, with lots of countryside and beach walks.
North Berwick is a beautiful coastal town 25 miles east of Edinburgh with a rail link of just over half an hour to Edinburgh (parking free at the station).The Scottish Seabird Centre is located at the harbour and one can view the birds and seals on the islands of the Firth of Forth from the Centre by remote cameras. One of the famous islands is the Bass Rock which boasts the largest gannetry in Europe (over 50,000 pairs of gannets visit here every year). It also has world famous golf courses around about – Muirfield Golf course is only 4 miles away and hosted the British Open Championship last July. The North Berwick Law (a volcanic plug like the Bass Rock) at over 600ft high overlooks the town and the views from the top are well worth the climb.
Edinburgh is easily accessed – its many attraction include the Castle, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament to name a few. The Edinburgh Festival takes place annually and attracts visitors from all over the world.
