The lower level of the barn was ‘The Stables’ where the horses were kept and the upper level ‘The Potato Barn’ was where the potatoes were stored. Lovingly renovated using reclaimed materials, including driftwood and local stone, the contemporary restoration of this traditional Cornish barn enhances many of its historic features. With the added advantage of SuperFast Wifi and a modern entertainment system.
Whatever the weather, inside there is space enough for everyone to both spend time together or enjoy the privacy to do their own thing.
Living Area
An extra-large living room has different zones for slouching in front of the TV, chilling next to the log burning stove or taking in the views out to sea or across the hills towards the north coast.
Kitchen
The well equipped kitchen (Rangemaster induction cooker, Bosch dishwasher and fridge freezer and free standing pantry) and dining area has a beautiful sea view that opens out into a sunny balcony area complete with an outdoor dining table.

The sheltered lit courtyard comes alive in the evening with comfortable seating around the outdoor log burning stove – perfect for extending your night.
Bathrooms
The main bathroom features a bath big enough for 2 and a separate large headed shower. A smaller tiled wet room provides a second large headed shower and another toilet.

The master bedroom has a luxurious super-king sized bed, fitted wardrobes and a dressing table with patio doors that open out on to the courtyard.
Bedroom two has a small double bed and fitted wardrobes.
Bedroom three has a triple bunk bed (small double on the bottom and a single on top) and fitted wardrobes.
The fourth bedroom has the flexibility to either have two single beds or we can join these together to make a superking bed.
An additional small double sofabed is available in the living room so in total enough to comfortably sleep eleven people.
Laundry Area
There is a small laundry area with a washing machine and a condensing tumble dryer and a hanging drying rack.
The heating and water for the house is provided by a ground source heat pump and there is have underfloor heating upstairs and downstairs.
Location
The Old Potato Barn is in a small quiet hamlet on the South West Coastal Path and there are various public foothpaths which originate outside the house. Perranuthnoe village (with a pub and 2 cafes) and the sandy beach is only 8 minutes’ walk away.
