A new “How to Rent” guide has been released by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities today, 2nd October 2023.
Updates to the guide include advice on how to access free legal aid services, advice and support, regardless of financial circumstances.
The most recent How to Rent guide must be provided to tenants at the start of any new tenancy, and on renewal if an updated guide has subsequently been released. Failure to do so could forfeit a landlord’s ability to repossess via Section 21.
